The Marion Urban Enterprise Association has effectively partnered with other Marion organizations and local and state government to foster growth through its business and employment assitance programs. Some recent successes have included:
2005- Indiana passed legislation offering Investment Deduction (up to 10 years) to Enterprise Zone businesses
- Local volunteers donate “sweat” and improve three Zone properties using Sweat Equity Dollars for materials
- Assisted 11 Zone Residents with education and employment
- Zone tax benefits claimed by 6 businesses
- Awarded Zone business Zone Loan for repairs
- New Markets Tax Credit utilized, paper-plate manufacturer opens to bring 46 new jobs to the Zone
- 9 Zone residents enroll in UrbanWorks partnership with JobWorks for employment and education support

- YES Network Expanded and “Transplanted.” Zone Pilot class graduates, 56 youth enrolled, YES Network transferred to LEAD, Inc.
